In addition, the company offers vessel operations for managing large and heavy cargo, as well as ship agency services that oversee port entry and departure processes, the issuance of bills of lading, and cargo bookings on behalf of shipping companies. The company was formerly known as Mitsui-Soko Co., Ltd. and changed its name to MITSUI-SOKO HOLDINGS Co., Ltd. in October 2014. The company was incorporated in 1909 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
